We are all responsible for the environment and with these recommendations you will be able to enjoy sea landscapes without being causing any harm to nature.
Choose activities that are respectful to the environment
You can explore the beach on foot, with a bike, on a horse, or on a sailboat ride, instead of motorboats or jet-skis. Kayak, Canoeing, windsurf or kitesurf are very entertaining and do not require any sort of motor vehicle. You can find these activities with touristic operators that offer environmentally friendly tours.
Forget about sea souvenirs
Taking away clams, sea shells, or starfish alters the ecological equilibrium. They may no longer be a home for the original animal, but many times they become the refuge to small creatures and this cycle assures the stability of the ecosystem.
¡Be careful with sea turtles!
Regrettably, these animals are running out of safe places to place their eggs when they return to nest. If you see a turtle laying its eggs, do not bother it, and regardless how adorable baby turtles can be, do not touch them or lift them, let them follow their natural path to the sea. If your destination is a nesting zone, avoid using at night lights such as flashlights and photo or video cameras, because they disorient the newborns that follow the moon to find their way into the sea. If they take the wrong path, they may end up being hit by a car or intercepted by their predators.
Dive respecting coral reefs
When you are inside the water in diving areas, never touch the coral, nor should you grace it with your flippers or any other part of your equipment, because in reality they are living and very fragile creatures that live on the remains of dead coral, which, since it is as sharp as a blade, they can end up slicing themselves.
